  • When to start finishing & what kinds of finish
  • Concrete components and other key ingredients
  • The contractor's role in concrete flatwork
  • How to identify surface defects and how to prevent them 
  • The difference between curing and sealing
  • Types of joints, and how and when to use them
  • The effects of hot and cold weather on concrete
  • Impact of wind and humidity


About the Speaker: Brian Cusack

Brian Cusack, of BASF Master Builders Solutions, is the Northeast Area Manager, which includes New England and New York. Brian is a graduate of Boston State College. He began his career in the concrete industry in 1978, working in various roles in Dispatch, Service, Quality Control, and Sales for Rosenfeld Concrete and Boston Sand & Gravel in the Boston area. For the last 29 years, he has been with Master Builders. He is a Board Member of the Massachusetts Concrete and Aggregate Producers Association, The Northern New England Concrete Producers Promotion Association, RC3, the Reinforced Concrete Association, and past Board Member of The Construction Industry Board of New York in New York City.
